At Sunset Valley Chicks in 2021 took over an existing flock of buff cochins from a very good friend.
They are a big ornamental bird that lay light brown eggs
The Cochin is a breed of large domestic chicken. It derives from large feather-legged chickens brought from China to Europe and North America in the 1840s and 1850s. It is reared principally for exhibition.
Their life span is 5-7 years they are a calm docile bird suitable for anyone that loves these fancy feathered feet friends. They do not lay lots of eggs and to only expect 2 eggs per week. But they make up for it with their beauty.
With minimal eggs laying we have minimal chicks that we will sell at day olds but expect if your willing to pay to have a chance to purchase some nice pullets from us in spring and summer.
