Sunset Valley Chicks is so proud to re-introduce in 2020 the Silver Lace Wyandotte Standard breed.
The Wyandotte is an American breed of chicken developed in the 1870s. It was named for the indigenous Wyandot people of North America. The Wyandotte is a dual-purpose breed, kept for its brown eggs and its yellow-skinned meat. It is a popular show bird, and has many color variants. At Sunset Valley Chicks we are focussing on Silver Lace Wyandotte, Blue Lace Wyandotte and Gold Lace Wyandotte in the standard size moving forward.
The wyandotte will lay 3-4 eggs comfortably a week and with a nice light brown shade egg.
They are very docile bird, make beautiful friendly pets and are stunning to look at amongst your flock or if you wish to breed.
This season our focus is to improve our blue lace wyandottes so have some girls in with our SLW pen so no eggs will be sold unless we are asked from our followers and depending what we have available at the time. But don’t worry we are focussing on raising lots to sell them at pullet age.
Wyandotte chicken is a very easygoing and are very adaptable usually to add a couple at a time to a new flock.
